Shanny
Oral Health Therapist
Shanny has been working within the orthodontic industry since starting a Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Sydney in 2007. She has further studied her graduate certificate in Oral Health Science at the University of Adelaide.
Shanny is dual qualified with an extended scope in adult therapy and applies this in general practice. From education to supplying supportive therapy and information during orthodontic treatment, Shanny assists in orthodontic procedures and the care of our patients.
Outside of work Shanny enjoys strength training and cycling. She also loves trying new foods and caring for her dogs Wesley and Frankie.
Fiona
Dental Hygienist
Fiona obtained her Bachelor of Oral Health qualifications from The Newcastle University in 2008 and shortly after joined our team. She is registered with the Australian Dental Board (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and is a member of the Australian Periodontal Society and the NSW Dental Hygienist Association.
Fiona is attentive and enjoys nurturing patient relationships. Fiona ensures that our patients maintain an excellent level of oral hygiene during their treatment. She is also trained in Suresmile, WIN lingual braces and Invisalign and assists with many of the clinical procedures during treatment.
Fiona is known for her delicate and gentle touch and is very skilled in all aspects of orthodontic treatment especially the handling of lingual braces and non-traumatic appliance removal.
In her free time, Fiona enjoys spending time with her husband and two gorgeous girls. She loves spending time at the beach and reading books. Fiona also enjoys sailing both yachts and skiffs for pleasure and racing.
Jenni
Oral Health Therapist
Jenni began her career in dentistry in 2004 and holds a Bachelor of Oral Health Degree from the University of Sydney where she was awarded the Oral B prize, the NSW Dental Therapy Association Prize as well as the University of Sydney Academic Merit Prize.
In 2015 Jenni completed the Master Implant Program with Brener Implant Institute. In 2016, Jenni completed a post-graduate certificate in Oral Health Science with the University of Adelaide to expand her knowledge and widen her scope of treatment planning and care. Prior to Dentistry, Jenni also completed a Bachelor of Engineering Computer Systems in 2006.
Jenni is very much part of our orthodontic family having previously had orthodontic treatment as an adult within our practice and being mentored and taught by Dr Nour Tarraf at university.
Away from work, Jenni enjoys spending quality time with her two special daughters and learning the piano.
Hogai
Oral Health Therapist
Hogai graduated from the University of Sydney completing a Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry & Pharmacology), Bachelor of Oral Health and Master of Public Health.
Hogai works alongside our orthodontists, caring for patients by carrying out orthodontic procedures and ensuring patients maintain optimal oral health during the course of their treatment. Hogai has a strong passion for promoting and providing preventative dental care and believes optimal oral health is an integral part of an individual’s overall health and wellbeing.
She began working in orthodontics in 2010 and has since developed a passion for the field. When you meet her in person, her professional, friendly, and gentle approach along with her passion and commitment to her role will not go unnoticed. She is hardworking, diligent, and approachable and will ensure all your needs and concerns regarding treatment has been addressed at each visit. In addition to working in private practice, she is also a Clinical Educator at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Sydney teaching the Bachelor of Oral Health program.
Outside the practice, Hogai enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and hiking.
Preema
Dental Hygienist
Preema graduated from Oral Health in 2011 from the University of Newcastle. She started working in Orthodontics immediately after graduating with one of her professors. After a couple of years, she wanted to make sure she was exposed to all facets of dentistry and hence worked in general practice for 6 years. During those years she realised that her true passion was in orthodontics and has been back at it since 2018. She missed seeing her patients experience a surge in confidence as their treatment progressed. Preema has a passion in building strong rapports with her patients.
In her free time Preema tries her hand at being an amateur foodie and is always up for an adventure. In the last few years, she has taken up a great interest in makeup and fashion, and when the opportunity presents itself, modelling for a few niche designers.
Lily
Oral Health Therapist
Lily graduated from University of Sydney in 2014 with a Bachelor of Oral Health with adult scope. Upon graduation she was successful in being selected in a nationwide graduate program for Oral Health Therapist working rurally in Western NSW in the public healthcare sector. She later on returned back to Sydney and now works part time both at Chatswood Orthodontics and Sydney Dental Hospital, Surry Hills. She splits her time between the fields of Orthodontics and Special Needs dentistry. When she isn't treating patients, she is also a clinical educator for final year Oral Health students in the Special Needs Dentistry department.
Lily is passionate about providing patients the best possible care. Is a strong advocate for promoting good oral health and having the patient actively involved in their dental care. Her approach to dentistry is one that is holistic: healthy mouth equals a healthy body.
In her spare time, she is either at her dojo practicing kendo, bouldering, running, out watching the latest theatre production or exploring the next delicious place to eat.
Redgi
Oral Health Therapist
Redgi graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2014. He has eight years experience working in the Public Health system at different locations such as Central Queensland, Tasmania and NSW, where he helped treat children and adolescents with dental decay and adults with severe gum disease.
Redgi is committed to providing his patients with the highest quality of dental care and is particularly interested in educating them about maintaining optimal oral health. He believes that patient education is a crucial aspect of preventing dental problems and achieving long-term dental health.
In 2021, Redgi obtained an Adult Extended Scope qualification from the University of Sydney, which has allowed him to provide a more extensive range of dental treatments to the adult population.
Outside of his work, Redgi enjoys staying active by playing basketball and exercising regularly. He is also an avid reader of fantasy adventure novels, which he finds to be a great way to relax and unwind.
Practice Manager
Jane
As the practice manager, Jane is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic and the delivery of high-quality patient care. With over 15 years of experience in the dental field, Jane brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.
Jane holds a Diploma of Practice Management and Business Administration, which has equipped her with skills to manage all aspects of the practice effectively. She also has an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design and Communication, which enables her to provide valuable support in marketing and branding initiatives.
Jane's excellent communication skills enable her to build strong relationships with staff, patients, and their families. She is always looking for ways to improve the patient experience at the clinic and supports the practice's delivery of care by organising continuing education and training for all staff members. This ensures that they stay up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques to deliver the best results.
In her free time, Jane is a self-proclaimed foodie and loves trying out new restaurants and experimenting with new recipes at home. When she's not in the kitchen, Jane stays active by taking Pilates classes and going on adventures with her daughters.
